Paintings are exemplified by Lv Ji’s Wintry Plum Blossoms and Golden Pheasants, Ding Yunpeng’s Washing Elephant, Zhu Yunming’s The Former Red Cliff Ode by Su Shi in Cursive Script, Wang Hui’s Soliciting for Crossing Snowy Stream Imitating Jiang Guandao, Ren Bonian’s Su Wu The Shepherd, Qi Baishi’s The Four Seasons and Xu Beihong’s Jiufang Gao. Ceramics cover primarily those from Jingdezhen kiln factory in Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Period, such as Rouge Red Press-Hand Cup, Under-Glazed Red Oil Hammer Vase with Dragon Designs and Blue-and-White Yuhu Spring Vase with Bamboo and Stone Designs. Tapestries capture Ming Dynasty’s Round Chinese silk Kesi with phoenix and peony patterns, Qing Dynasty’s Kesi Buddha with “Infinite Life Buddha” patterns, r Red and soft silk Changyi gown embroidered with “Jinyumantang” designs and Blue Kesi imperial robe. Furniture are exhibited as Ming Dynasty’s HuangHuaLi All-round Harp Table, HuangHuaLi Dwarf Recessed-leg Table with Everted Flanges and HuangHuaLi Round-backed Armchair. Though limited in number and difficult to present overall perspective, the collections nevertheless deliver a microcosm of treasures of Tsinghua University Art Museum.
