Exhibition Profile

Textile Art is originated from China’s unique resources and cultural background. From the Ming and Qing dynasties, the exhibition contains more than 100 sets of weaving and embroidery items. They are divided into three categories based on fabrics, ready-made clothing accessories and appreciation collections: thus “Silk Fabrics”, “Gorgeous Clothes and Beautiful Accessories” and “Inspiration of Tapestry-embroidered Calligraphy and Painting”. By enduring the test of time, weaving and embroidery fabric become not only a valuable material for clothing, but also a carrier of culture and art. The superb weaving technology is a reflection of national wisdom; the exquisite embroidery patterns are the embodiment of good wishes. It is our aspiration that viewers will feel the beauty of weaving and embroidery that ancestors embodied within the creative design and excellent craftsmanship.
