Feng Yuan, Curator of Tsinghua University Art Museum, was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France

      On the evening of 15 March, on behalf of the French government, French ambassador to China Maurice Gourdault-Montagne (Gu Shan) awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France to Feng Yuan, Honorary President of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Curator of Tsinghua University Art Museum, who have been dedicated himself and made outstanding contributions to China-France cultural exchanges. 


Ambassador Gu Shan conferred the order to Feng Yuan

 

       On the awarding ceremony, Mr. Gu Shan introduced in details Feng Yuan and the other two who would accept the order, speaking highly of their contribution to China-France cultural exchanges. The orders are awarded after the introduction, and the awardees gave their speeches. Gu Shan also presented award certificates to the three awardees.


Ambassador Gu Shan awarded the certificate of Ordre des Arts et des Lettres to Feng Yuan, and took pictures with Feng Yuan and his wife Shui Jingwen

 

       Mr. Feng Yuan, Vice President of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Deputy Curator of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, Vice President of China Artists Association, Honorary President of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Curator of Tsinghua University Art Museum, once served as Vice President of China Academy of Art, Head of Department of Education, Department of Science and Technology and Department of Art, Ministry of Culture and Curator of National Art Museum of China, and he is an outstanding painter and artist in the circle of literature and art in contemporary China.
