Deputy Director
Born in 1981. Duan is an Associate Research Fellow. He graduated from the Department of History at Peking University in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in History. He earned a Master's degree in Higher Education from the School of Education at Tsinghua University.
He subsequently worked for many years in the Office of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Administration at Tsinghua University, where he received several honors, including the Youth Award for Social Sciences Management of the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education), the Advanced Individual Award in Social Science Fund Management (Beijing), the Outstanding Contributor to Tsinghua University's Centenary Celebration, the Tsinghua University Award for Professional Dedication, and the Award for Excellence in Political Work.
Mr. Duan has published multiple academic papers in journals such as China Higher Education Research, Journal of Tsinghua University (Humanities and Social Sciences), Universities and Disciplines, Tsinghua Journal of Education, and Theory and Practice of Education.
Mr. Duan was appointed Deputy Director of the Office of Humanities Development at Tsinghua University in March 2016. In January 2024, he has been assigned as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation, and in April 2025, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Tsinghua University Art Museum.
