Since 2000,‘FROM LAUSANNE TO BEIJING’10th INTERNATIONAL FIBER ART BIENNALE has been successfully held 10 times during the last 18 years. It has been a notable international academic brand being held constantly in China and the most influential art activity with academic, international, popular, and socialized development vision after being held biannually in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Zhengzhou, Nantong and Shenzhen. Being one of the academic activities of both the 2017 Art Propagation, Exchange and Promotion Program Sponsored by China National Arts Fund and 2018 Beijing Design Week organized by the Culture Ministry, the 10th ‘FROM LAUSANNE TO BEIJING’10th INTERNATIONAL FIBER ART BIENNALE will be held by the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University，Tsinghua University Art Museum and Faculty of Public Art, China National Academy of Painting from 15th October to 15th November 2018.
There will be 175 fiber art works from 45 countries in this biennale, among them 68 pieces will be shown at Tsinghua University Art Museum, 57 pieces at Block A of Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, and 50 pieces at Beijing A.C. Art Museum. Guided by the slogan of ‘Art has no limitation, fiber connects the world’, ‘FROM LAUSANNE TO BEIJING’10th INTERNATIONAL FIBER ART BIENNALE is aiming at cultivating and formulating the academic system for fiber art. It also focuses on promoting the international communication and popularization, the industrialization and development of Chinese fiber art and sharing the creative achievement of the previous biennale.
