Exhibition Profile

This exhibition presents more than 90 works of Mr. Yan Zhenduo's nearly 70 years of creation, encompassing various styles such as realism, representation, and abstraction, and he uses materials such as ink on paper, oil painting, rock pigments, and more. "Crossing Borders" also embodies a spirit that aligns with Yan's own statement: "My creative language derives from the spirituality of nature, and my creative emotions stem from my self-awareness of life. There is no need for definitions or immediate confirmations."

Artist Profile

Yan Zhenduo (1940-) is one of the representative artists who pursued modern style and explored individual expression in art since the New Period. His painting style is lyrical and masculinity. He is good at expressing people's hearts throbbing to nature in the contrast of large plane colors. He pays attention to the fluid of color blocks, dots, and lines, and does not give up the delicacy of details in the great relationship of color rhythm. Among contemporary painters, what is most noteworthy about him is the various structural changes and the processing of points, lines, and surfaces hidden in the picture, which fully demonstrates the artist's balance and breakthrough based on visual laws in the relationship between abstraction and image, narrative and lyric, form and color, line rhythm and modeling space.
