Exhibition Profile

Following the “To Ideal Land of Ceramics: Exhibition of International Contemporary Ceramic Works” sponsored by the National Art Fund and hosted by Tsinghua University Art Museum in 2018, “Stilled Melody: Exhibition of International Contemporary Ceramic Art Works” opened at Tsinghua University Art Museum in July 2023. This exhibition is based on internationally renowned ceramic artists’ works from our museum’s collection, combined with works from Shangyu Celadon Modern International Ceramic Art Center in Shangyu, Zhejiang Province and several domestic contemporary ceramic artists. This exhibition presents works with different forms, concepts, and production techniques side by side so that viewers can observe and contemplate differences or similarities between them. The aim of this exhibition is to demonstrate how ceramics play a unique artistic role within the context of contemporary culture.
