The “White and All: China Dehua Ceramics Exhibition” is organized by the People's Government of Dehua County and the Tsinghua University Art Museum, with more than 90 pieces of works in one exhibition. Let our eyes trace back to more than three thousand seven hundred years ago, to the primitive glaze, as if we can still hear the ancestors in the labor outside, hit the rhythm of the body and echo; to the time of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, the white porcelain daily-use objects gradually matured, reflecting daily aesthetics and rituals of the ancestors at home and abroad. The second unit “Blanc de Chine.” collects shipwrecked porcelain and works of masters from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China. With the white form reflecting the divine realm, Dehua ceramics brings the warm, tolerant, and subtle Oriental aesthetics to the world. The third unit, “White and All”, presents how Dehua ceramics have moved from the realm of ceremonial and daily use into the realm of diplomatic expression and national image construction, and become an important carrier of Chinese cultural output. Dehua ceramics have been around since ancient times and have never stopped, but are continuing, growing and shining in the palms of the new generation of creators.
