The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. Through the presentation of nearly 200 works by 20 artists, this exhibition demonstrates how artists from the Fumetto Festival respond artistically to universal human themes such as Courage, Identity, History and Memory, Dreams and Worlds Beyond and Society. These works are characterized by the distinctive Swiss culture while also resonating with Chinese audiences and inspire thoughtful reflection. Comics are not just a language for the younger generation, but belong to all people who are sensitive to images and thoughts. We hope that through this exhibition, viewers will experience the richness and spiritual depth of comic art. As the meaningful title Once Upon a Page suggests, it symbolizes a story that is yet to be written and the new chapter of Sino-Swiss cultural exchange that is about to unfold.
