The exhibition seeks to trace the artistic lineage of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University (formerly the Central Academy of Craft Art). The "concept of decoration" and "beauty of form" presented in the exhibition constitute a unique and significant path in the exploration of modern Chinese art. Divided into two parts and eight chapters, the exhibition focuses on the creative practices of several generations of artists, including Pang Xunqin, Lei Guiyuan, Zhang Guangyu, Zhang Ding, Zhu Danian, Wu Guanzhong, Chang Shana, Yuan Yunfu, Han Meilin, Qiao Shiguang, Ding Shaoguang, Du Dakai, and Liu Jude. By placing their works within the broader context of social transformation and the history of Chinese and international art, and through documentary analysis, the exhibition clearly demonstrates their outstanding contributions to upholding tradition while driving innovation through inclusiveness, leading the aesthetic trends of the era, and serving the people with art.
