Director of Indiana University Art Museum Visiting and Speaking at Tsinghua University Art Museum

       From March 13th through 14th 2017, David A. Brenneman, Director of Indiana University Art Museum, Arthur Liou, Director of Indiana University Art Department, and Ren Yinjia, Director of Indiana University Beijing office, visited Tsinghua University Art Museum and met with Feng Yuan, Director of Tsinghua University Art Museum, Du Pengfei, Executive Deputy Director, Yang Dongjiang, Deputy Director, Xu Hong and Huang Wenjuan, advisors of Tsinghua University Art Museum. Both parties discussed the future collaboration and exchanges between the two institutions, hoping to encourage long term interactive programs for students and faculties of the two universities. David A. Brenneman and his party toured the Tsinghua University Art Museum and gave great remarks about the current exhibitions, curation and the quality of the museum’s collections.

During the Lecture

       March 14th evening, David A. Brenneman was invited to lecture on “A Peak into Indiana University Eskenazi Art Museum". He mainly introduced the history of Indiana University, and the museum’s current collection and exhibit situation. The lecture was hosted by Yang Dongjiang, Deputy Director of the Tsinghua University Art Museum. Nearly 200 art enthusiasts from in and out of Tsinghua University attended the event.
